Paris

Day 1

Our flight was Pittsburgh to Washington and then Washington to Paris. The flight to Washington was supposed to be bumpy but it wasn't. Then, a smooth flight over the pond. Getting the bus direct at the airport was a breeze.  It stopped at a station 5 minutes from our B&B. Got settled and then took a walk trying to get our bearings. By the afternoon we had this area mastered, kind of. Walked to the Bastille Monument, which was less than 10 minutes. Explored the area and found three restaurants/bistros that we had researched. Chose Le P'tit Breguet for light snack at 4:00pm. Dow had salmon and I had homemade pate and scallops. We have been up for more than 24 hours so not a lot of energy. A couple of quick observations – 1. No one wears a hat. No one wears white sneakers. All pants are pencil style (slim).
