Italy 2017

Buongiorno,

Another beautiful day – now we are getting back to normal. I nostri ultimi tre giorni a Lucca quest'anno (our final three days in Lucca this year)

Le mura è belle nel sole (The wall is beautiful in the sun). Vogliamo bene alla città di Lucca (We love the city of Lucca). Note - Lucca City Wall is a major historical site in the Tuscany region of Italy. The beautiful medieval city, which recently celebrated its 500thanniversary, has never been used before for a major live music event.

Today strolling by where the Stones will be playing is not beautiful. Probably we will not be able to walk by this area tomorrow because of security. They have closed off the road in front of where the concert will be (it's between the road and the wall with the box seats on top of the wall).

We ate lunch at Vecchia Trattoria Buralli. Dow had maccheroni with tomatoes and peppers. I had the pappadelle with wild boar. Next Dow had spaghetti with clams and I had rabbit with grilled polenta. All dishes were very good. Do you remember Dow having spaghetti and clams before? I do!

Walked around the city and in Piazza St. Michele there was a “secret brother” performing Mike Jagger. He was lip-syncing and had all the moves – very good and less than the Stones concert – much less. Tickets for that are going for a 1,000 euros or $1,196 US.

In the evening we searched to buy a Rooney memorial flag (like the one that Ben Roethlisberger carried out of the tunnel) for our tailgate. Could not find one but, our good friend, Mark, pointed us in the right direction and found one very close – guess where? Amazon (where else?)

With WIFI it is just like being home - point, click, and buy.
