     Bel tempo a Lucca. (Beautiful weather in Lucca). Abbiamo camminato le mura. (We walked the wall.) They have added lights so it completely luminated at night. We see a lot of improvements. They move forward but, preserve the past. There are only four ports where you can enter the city with a car. Only locals are allowed to drive in special places in the city. Very few cars. There is other places where you can walk through the wall. Our walk on top of the wall is about three miles.

     Lunch at Cantine Bernardini, a little out of the way restaurant. We split the first course of steak tartare and then Dow had ravioli stuffed with sea bass. I had pasta with truffles. Oh the truffles! Dow told the waiter -  "il pranzo è stato il migliore" ( lunch was the best).

     Abbiamo camminato al super mercato fuori le mura (Walked to the grocery store outside the wall). Big store with everything then a quick walk to the appliance store close by to buy a flat iron for Dow. This last adventure for a flat iron is out of my league.

     Rain in the evening so no balcony.
