Piove! (It is raining!) Oggi, non abbiamo fatto una passeggiata sulle mura. (Today, we did not walk on the wall.) Heavy rain and did not walk far and we were soaked.

Siamo andati a Antica Osteria che è vicino. (We went to Antica Osteria, which is close). We had soup as we are going to Katia's for dinner so we want to save room. It hit the spot!

Katia and her husband Andrea picked us up for the ten minute ride to their house, a beautiful Italian home. Their children - Letizia, who is going to University of Bologna in 2 weeks, and Nicolò, who is a senior in high school - sat with us for dinner and were engaging.

Andrea is the cook in the family and made GREAT mushroom risotto (with porcini gathered locally) and then variety of grilled meats with potatoes. The lights went out as a violent storm roared through – lightning and thunder! No worries and Andrea and Niccolò made Crème Brûlée for dessert.

La cena è stata ottima. (Dinner was excellent).
