Lunedì

Abbiamo mangiato la colazione in casa. (We ate breakfast at the house.) Worked on the web site and then off to walk around. Our plan was to go to Medieval Museum but when we got there is was closed on Monday. Ok so plan B. We did not have a plan B so we went to lunch. We did take a picture of the old waterway (canal) but, the water was gone.  Il pranzo al Trattoria Serghei. As expected the pasta was so fresh and homemade. Our second courses are explained below.  

After lunch we checked the canal and it had water.  Back to the house for some R&R then back on the streets. We went to the  Museum of Music and it was closed. Monday is not a day to visit museums.

OSo we visited a couple of churches. They are big, beautiful and very interesting.  Especially the Basilica of San Domenic.  He founded the Order of the Preaching Friars (or Domenicans) in 1216.  Dante described him in The Divine Comedy as the farmer chosen by Christ to care for the garden of his Church.  Very revered man...
