Sabato

Since we are staying at a bed & breakfast we got up and had some toast and caffè. The people are so nice that we are staying with. Finished the web site and off to see the city. Out the door and I turned the wrong way so an hour and a half later we made it back to the starting point. Dow made the right decision at the last turn. Score one for Dow.

Ci siamo fermati al Pane e Panelle per il pranzo e abbiamo mangiato il pesce. (We stopped at Pane e Pannelle for lunch and ate fish.) We shared an antipasto platter of cold fish.  For the main course Dow had cuttlefish and I had swordfish. The fish was off the charts!

After we walked to Maggiore to take some more pictures.  We had learned more about some of the sights we saw yesterday, so we revisited them, then  had a gelato on the way home.  Cinque ore di cammino e nel pomeriggio abbiamo preso una pausa. (Five  hours of walking and in the afternoon we took a break.)

Back to the center of town at night. Streets were blocked from cars so people were all over. Did some people watching and listening to some jazz bands. Stopped for a bottle of wine. We had a full day and Dow's fitbit says we  walked 19,000 steps. Buona notte!
